In March 2025, on the sidelines of the Experiential Learning Seminar in Nairobi, Kenya, an important and timely conversation unfolded.
Drawing on hard-earned lessons from the 2024 elections across the region, the East and Horn of Africa Electoral Network (E-HORN) convened election experts for a forward-looking exchange on the state of preparedness for the upcoming 2025 elections in Uganda, Burundi, and Tanzania.
The conversation peeled back five layers of the electoral landscape: electoral preparedness, civic space and citizen engagement, observer capacity, election technology and the rising tide of misinformation, and the crucial role of security in safeguarding peaceful transitions.
Out of that important exchange came a podcast. With eyes set firmly on the 2025 elections, this podcast invites its audience to become active participants in defending electoral integrity and promoting transparency across the region.
