The Platform of Civil Society Non-Governmental Organizations of Cape Verde (OSC-Plataforma) is an independent, non-profit organisation bringing together more than 400 civil society organisations across Cape Verde to strengthen democracy, human rights, social justice and sustainable development.

Rooted in communities across the islands, the Platforma creates spaces where citizens can connect, learn and have their voices heard. Its work focuses on civic education, democratic governance and inclusion, with particular attention to young people and groups often under-represented in decision-making.

As part of the AHEAD Africa project, the Platforma is taking this work further, mobilising young people and under-represented groups across four islands, strengthening civic education and participation through local education sessions and digital information campaigns, and turning citizens’ voices into concrete recommendations for more transparent and inclusive elections.
