Hopeline Foundation is a youth- and women-led Somali NGO founded in 2020 by professionals from both within the country and the diaspora. Born out of the need to respond to long-standing social and governance challenges, it works to strengthen local leadership, rebuild trust, and support community-driven solutions rooted in local realities.

Hopeline works directly with communities through programmes that engage young people and women in civic life. Its initiatives on civic awareness, leadership, and social inclusion help people access information, take part in local discussions, and address everyday challenges in practical ways.

With support from Africtivistes through the Digitalise Youth and AHEAD Africa projects, and powered by the Digital Democracy Initiative, Hopeline is strengthening electoral awareness, participation, and leadership among women and youth in Mogadishu’s Hodan, Waberi, and Kahda districts over eight months. The project uses digital storytelling, civic education, dialogue forums, and leadership training to build knowledge and confidence, boost inclusive participation, and counter hate speech ahead of Somalia’s upcoming elections.
