Bouaké, Ivory Coast
Founded in 2015 under the EU-funded LIANE project, the Centre Régional d’Appui à la Société Civile (CRASC) Centre and Est reinforces the capabilities of civil society actors that promote good governance and social justice in their establishment, organisation, and functioning. Their work spans the central, eastern, western, northern and southern regions of Côte d’Ivoire, including the Autonomous District of Abidjan.
CRASC has extensive experience in conducting advocacy and information campaigns to raise awareness on key social and governance issues and strong expertise in election observation, built through close collaboration with partners such as CNDH, LIDHO, POECI, and WANEP.
With support from AHEAD Africa, CRASC Centre and Est will observe the presidential election on 25 October 2025 and the legislative election on 27 December 2025. Together, they will deploy 300 short-term observers and 30 long-term observers over 1000 polling stations in Côte d’Ivoire’s central and eastern regions. Beyond observation, CRASC Centre and Est will join forces with CRASC Nord, Sud, and Ouest in a joint advocacy campaign to push for the adoption of short-term, actionable recommendations.
