With Ethiopia’s June 2026 elections on the horizon—and pressure mounting on civic space and security—the East and Horn of Africa Election Observation Network (E-HORN), alongside the Consortium of Ethiopian Human Rights Organizations (CEHRO) and the Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Elections (CECOE), is bringing key voices from across the country together in a high-level Country Forum to tackle risks head-on and unlock opportunities for credible elections.
The Country Forum will spark honest conversations on safeguarding civic space online, preventing electoral violence, and ensuring institutions are ready to deliver inclusive elections. Civil society, election authorities, political actors, media, and security agencies will exchange hard lessons from across the region, turning experience into action to help Ethiopia move toward peaceful and credible polls.
