But digital innovation is opening new paths: civic technologies are emerging as powerful tools to reinforce <strong>participation<\/strong>, <strong>integrity<\/strong>, and <strong>transparency<\/strong> in elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the <strong>Election Civic Tech Fund<\/strong> managed by Africtivistes, we aim to fund <strong>youth-led<\/strong> digital initiatives that aim to strengthen <strong>inclusive electoral participation<\/strong>, <strong>transparency<\/strong>, and <strong>integrity<\/strong> across <strong>14 African countries<\/strong>: Cameroon, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Guinea, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Togo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This call is launched within the framework of two projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Digitalise Youth<\/strong>: strengthening youth participation and influence in democratic processes through digital means.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AHEAD Africa<\/strong>: supporting African civil society to improve transparency, integrity, and citizen engagement in electoral processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A total fund of <strong>\u20ac175,000<\/strong> will be distributed across four thematic priority areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>\ud83d\udda5\ufe0f Civic Tech for elections<\/td><td>40%<\/td><td>\u20ac70,000<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\ud83d\uddf3\ufe0f Citizen engagement in electoral processes<\/td><td>25%<\/td><td>\u20ac43,750<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\ud83d\udcf0 Media and information<\/td><td>20%<\/td><td>\u20ac35,000<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u2696\ufe0f Legal framework and advocacy<\/td><td>15%<\/td><td>\u20ac26,250<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for the <strong>Election Civic Tech Fund<\/strong>, applicants must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be <strong>aged 18 to 35<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reside in or be nationals of one of the <strong>14 eligible countries<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit a <strong>complete application package<\/strong>, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Official online application form (via <a href=\"https:\/\/electioncivictechfund.africtivistes.com\/\"><span style=\"color: var(--clr-primary);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">https:\/\/electioncivictechfund.africtivistes.com\/<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: var(--clr-text);\" class=\"stk-highlight\">).<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detailed budget proposal (based on the provided template).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project description (max 5 pages) including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Theory of change<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementation plan (max 10 months)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CVs of 2 to 3 core team members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal registration documents of the organisation or the lead entity in the case of a consortium.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e434cb1532b359f31adfda98fd7ba8b6\">The application must be submitted before <strong>10 July 2025 at 23:59 (Dakar time)<\/strong>, exclusively via the dedicated platform: <a href=\"https:\/\/electioncivictechfund.africtivistes.com\/en\">https:\/\/electioncivictechfund.africtivistes.com\/<\/a>, where you fill find the Terms of Reference and all document templates to submit.
