Before the official postponement of South Sudan&#8217;s elections from 2024 to 2026, AHEAD Africa partners, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ahead.africa\/partners\/afeonet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">African Election Observers Network (AfEONet)<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/ahead.africa\/partners\/east-and-horn-of-africa-election-observers-network\/\">East and Horn of Africa Election Observers Network (E-HORN)<\/a>, hosted a <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3XUV9V6\">webinar<\/a> titled<strong><em>\u201cNavigating the Crossroads: An Analysis of South Sudan\u2019s Election Preparedness\u201d<\/em><\/strong> to discuss the country&#8217;s preparedness to hold elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-link-color wp-elements-fbf933fdee4416c3ed8d3c92a8a767fc\">Moderated by Andrew Songa, African Union Engagement Advisor at the <a href=\"https:\/\/ahead.africa\/partners\/european-partnership-for-democracy\/\">European Partnership for Democracy<\/a>, the discussion featured Galdino Ochama Ojok, Executive Director at South Sudan Network For Democracy and Elections (SUNDEE); Jackline Nasiwa, Executive Director of Center for Inclusive Governance Peace and Justice (CIGPJ); Alimure Ali Awuda, Elections Expert at Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung South Sudan; Dr. Aleu Garang, Director of MSU at Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD); and Henry Muguzi, Head of Secretariat at AfEONet.
